Picmychip had the product part figured out — 200+ spec-verified electronics components, the kind of catalog that engineers trust when a wrong part means a failed build. What the site didn’t have was a front end that matched that trust. Browsing was slow, the story was muddled, and the parts of the business that actually moved buyers — sourcing at scale, verified stock, real specs — were buried instead of front and center.
Branding
Before touching a single page, we sharpened the identity underneath it: cleaner typography, a sharper product story — “Everything for your next build” — and messaging that stayed consistent across every touchpoint instead of drifting page to page. The goal wasn’t a new logo for its own sake. It was giving engineers and procurement buyers a reason to trust the brand before they’d read a single spec sheet.
Product and website redesign
We rebuilt picmychip.in from the ground up:
- Faster, cleaner browsing across 200+ spec-verified components
- A new Instant Sourcing Hub — upload a BOM and get real-time stock and pricing matched line by line
- Streamlined checkout and order tracking
- A Guides & Tutorials hub, built as much for trust as for organic search visibility
The Instant Sourcing Hub was the centerpiece. B2B buyers don’t shop for electronics components one part at a time — they work from a bill of materials, and every hour spent manually checking stock against a spreadsheet is an hour not spent building. Turning that into a single upload was the redesign’s clearest bet.
Built as our own platform, not a template
The Instant Sourcing Hub couldn’t be bolted onto an off-the-shelf storefront — matching a BOM against live stock and pricing line by line isn’t something a templated e-commerce theme is built to do. So instead of working around a platform’s limits, we built Picmychip’s e-commerce layer ourselves: catalog structure, BOM-matching logic, checkout, and page speed, all owned end to end rather than configured around someone else’s defaults.
That decision is also what made the rest of the redesign possible. Structured category pages for SEO, fast browsing across 200+ components, and a checkout that doesn’t add friction for a B2B buyer — all of it needed a platform built around how Picmychip’s customers actually source parts, not a generic cart.
Customer support built into the site
A BOM upload isn’t always a clean match — a part number is discontinued, a quantity looks off, a buyer wants a quote before committing. Those questions used to mean an email into a queue and a wait. We added a live chat widget directly on the site, so a buyer partway through sourcing a BOM or checking out can get an answer without leaving the page or losing their place.
For a B2B buyer working against their own deadline, that’s the difference between finishing the order now and abandoning it to “follow up later” — which, for sourcing, often means never.
Marketing impact
The redesign wasn’t cosmetic — every part of it was built to convert and to rank. In the most recent week measured, that showed up directly in the numbers:
- 516 active users, up 1,223% week over week, with 512 of them new
- 56 key events (BOM uploads, checkout starts, and other tracked conversions) in the week
- 91.7% weekly-active-to-monthly-active ratio — most people who visit in a month come back that same week, not once and gone
Where the traffic is coming from
| Country | Active users |
|---|---|
| India | 339 |
| Singapore | 58 |
| United States | 43 |
| United Arab Emirates | 13 |
| Brazil | 8 |
| Argentina | 6 |
| China | 6 |
Within India, activity concentrates where the electronics and manufacturing ecosystem actually lives — Karnataka leads (93 visitors, 2,167 page views), followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu (40 visitors each), then Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Bihar. But the international spread — Singapore, the US, the UAE, Brazil — matters just as much for a B2B sourcing site: it’s a sign that buyers outside India are finding and using the Instant Sourcing Hub too, not just browsing the catalog.
How people are arriving
| Channel | Sessions |
|---|---|
| Direct | 366 |
| Display | 167 |
| Organic Search | 125 |
| Cross-network | 35 |
| Referral | 16 |
| Paid Search | 9 |
| Organic Social | 3 |
Direct traffic leading by a wide margin, with paid search barely registering, says something about the branding work: people are typing picmychip.in in directly or coming back through bookmarks, not being paid into the site. That’s brand recall doing the work — the redesign gave visitors something worth remembering the name for.
None of this came from a single change. Faster browsing kept people from bouncing before they found what they needed; the Guides hub gave search engines something to rank beyond product pages; and the sourcing tool, built on Picmychip’s own platform, gave repeat B2B buyers a reason to come back instead of comparison-shopping elsewhere.
What customers are saying
Verified reviews are part of the trust signals the redesign put front and center — not buried on a separate page, but visible where a buyer is deciding whether to trust the catalog. Two, from B2B customers who source through Picmychip regularly:

Both are from engineering and supply-chain buyers at companies sourcing components for their own builds — exactly the audience the redesign, the sourcing hub, and the live chat support were built for.
The result
A site that doesn’t just look better — it works harder, bringing in more of the right visitors and turning more of them into customers. Proud to have partnered with the Picmychip team on this one.
